Primary and Secondary Weapons Detail for Modern Warfare III

Within a specific modification menu, or the Show Details submenu of a specific mod, is another option: Filtering. This allows you to fine-tune a weapon using only the statistics that are particularly important to you. You can:

Filter by statistic: This allows you to further compare attachments of the same type (i.e., an Optic, Barrel,  or Muzzle) with each other in regards to one, two, or up to seven of the main statistics. You can turn the filter off and on, allowing easy comparisons between mods , to further hone your own individual meta.

Filter by Attachment: You can also filter to show only attachments you’ve unlocked, or those you still need to unlock, so you know the granular information of an attachment before you fit it onto your armament. You can filter by Aftermarket Parts, too, as appropriate.

Weapon Tuning Removal

With the additional statistical knowledge you’re able to receive while swapping between modifications, providing an impressive amount of incremental weapon meta building, Weapon Tuning has been removed, a feature that appeared in Modern Warfare II. This change to Weapon Tuning applies to both MWII and MWIII weapons that utilize modifications.

Modern Warfare III: Weapon Camo Synopsis

Information overload? Then read on as we conclude this blog with a reasonably concise summary:

The Modern Warfare III Weapon Camo system is familiar but comes with additional innovations and a vastly larger pool of camos to unlock. As in MWII, camos are split into two groups: Base and Completionist (Mastery):

New Base Camos (MWIII MP, MWZ)

  • There are 18 brand new Base Camo sets in MWIII.
  • New Base Camos are unlocked by completing Challenges using MWIII weaponry.
  • New Base Camos are unlocked in both Multiplayer and Zombies.
  • Multiplayer: Expect four Base Camos per MWIII Primary Weapon and Handgun.
  • Zombies: Expect four Base Camos per MWIII Primary Weapon and Handgun.
  • Expect one Base Camo per MWIII Launcher and Melee for MP, and the same for Zombies.

Carry Forward (MP) and Added Base Camos (MWZ)

The 14 Multiplayer Base Camo sets from MWII carry forward.

  • Brand new Zombies camos have been added to each Carry Forward Base set, doubling each Carry Forward set with new Zombies camos to unlock.
  • Carry Forward Base Camos are unlocked by completing Challenges using MWII weaponry.
  • Carry Forward Base Camos are now unlocked in both Multiplayer and Zombies.
  • Multiplayer (Carry Forward Camos): Expect the existing four Base Camos per MWII Primary Weapon and Handgun, with their existing unlock criteria.
  • Zombies: Expect four new Base Camos per MWII Primary Weapon and Handgun.
  • Expect one Challenge per MWII Launcher and Melee for MP, and the same for Zombies.

Base Camo Summary

  • Once unlocked, any Base Camo can be applied to any weapon in MWIII.
  • The total of Base Camo sets (excluding Event and Special camos) is 14 (MWII) + 18 (MWIII) = 32.

Completionist Camos (MWII, MWIII)

  • Once each Base Camo is unlocked for an individual weapon, the Completionist Camos can be unlocked via additional Challenges.
  • There are 16 different Completionist (“Mastery”) camos in MWIII. They are divided into groups of four:

Quick Revive

Reduce the health regeneration delay time by 50%. Reduce the time it takes to revive an ally by 50%.

Learn more about Call of Duty HQ, the game launcher for Call of Duty

Starting today, Wednesday, November 8, once players download the latest software updates in advance of Modern Warfare III’s worldwide launch, Call of Duty HQ will be the central location to play new and upcoming content for Modern Warfare III, as well as the launch pad for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare II. Each title will be featured on its own row within Call of Duty HQ, including a What’s Hot row highlighting specific playlists.

·       What’s Hot: The home of top playlists for Modern Warfare III

·       MWIII: Access the Modern Warfare III Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies

·       Warzone: Play Call of Duty: Warzone or the DMZ beta from this row

·       MWII: Access the Modern Warfare II Campaign, Multiplayer, Raids, and more

Call of Duty HQ will also feature an in-game store for Modern Warfare III, and at game launch will include the all-new CODE Warrior Pack and current Modern Warfare II content bundles. New Modern Warfare III content bundles will be available in Season 01.

Warzone playlists will rejoin the What’s Hot row at a later date. Players will be able to seamlessly switch between Modern Warfare III and Warzone content starting in Season 01.

Known Issues

Call of Duty HQ continues to evolve, bringing multiple titles to Call of Duty players from one, single destination. The following issues are known and are being addressed:

·       Physical Disc Identification: Players will encounter changes with how Call of Duty games are listed during the download and installation process. For example, some players who purchase the disc version of Modern Warfare III, but do not already have Modern Warfare II installed will not see the Modern Warfare III icon until COD HQ has fully updated after a Day One patch.

·       Cross-Title Parties: Cross-Title Parties: Players who form parties within Modern Warfare III may be disbanded when switching to Call of Duty: Warzone. If this happens, players can party up again to play in Warzone. This will be corrected in an update shortly after launch of Modern Warfare III.

Activision Blizzard Donates $2 Million to Support the Call of Duty Endowment and announces #CODEFearlessChallenge

May is National Military Appreciation Month and to honor veterans the Call of Duty Endowment is using Activision Blizzard’s recent $2 Million donation to help veterans find high-quality jobs during this trying time.

The Endowment, founded in 2009, has always sought to place veterans in high-quality jobs since its inception and considers that task more important now, than ever. This year, the Endowment has also raised funds through the Defender Pack, its #HireHonor Campaign, the Call of Duty Endowment “C.O.D.E.” Bowl, and other activations.

Now, The Endowment is taking on a new campaign – the #CODEFearlessChallenge – to honor veterans during National Military Appreciation Month.  To join in the challenge, honor a current service member or veteran by posting a photo of them on your social media to show your appreciation. Get more details on how you can take on the #CODEFearlessChallenge here.

“Activision Blizzard and Call of Duty continue to be incredibly dedicated partners in helping veterans find high quality jobs, which is harder than ever in these difficult times.  Our grantees who place vets have seen a greater than 50% increase in request for help and this campaign aims to support that need.”

This month, as part of #CODEFearlessChallenge, the Endowment will release the ‘Fearless Pack’ for Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® and Call of Duty®: Warzone. The pack was created with the help of a distinguished military veteran and will assist the Endowment in its initiative to get veterans back to work. 100% of Activision’s net proceeds from the ‘Fearless Pack’ will go to the Call of Duty Endowment.

If you are (or know someone who is) a veteran, transitioning service member, or service leaver requiring assistance in looking for employment in the U.S. or U.K., then visit the Veteran Support section of the Call of Duty Endowment website to be paired with a partner organization who can help in the job search.

About the Call of Duty Endowment

The Call of Duty Endowment is a non-profit organization co-founded by Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, and Former National Security Advisor General James Jones. The Endowment seeks to help veterans find high-quality careers by supporting groups that prepare them for the job market and by raising awareness of the value vets bring to the workplace.
