Dropping in on September 4, 2020, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 is set to bring back original levels, pro skaters, tricks, modes, and songs from the iconic soundtrack, as well as amp up the experience with new ways to play including online Multiplayer.

Here’s the 411 on 1 and 2:

Same Tony, New Tricks

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 will feature the full original roster of pro skaters from the turn of the 21st century. That includes Steve Caballero, Geoff Rowley, Bucky Lasek, Elissa Steamer, Kareem Campbell, Andrew Reynolds, Bob Burnquist, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen, Jamie Thomas, Rune Glifberg, Chad Muska… And of course, Tony Hawk.

These skaters all come with their own Special Moves – from Geoff Rowley’s Darkside Grind to Tony Hawk’s legendary 900 – and have learned a few new tricks over the past two decades, including the Revert, Lip Tricks, and the Wall Plant, allowing you to pull off incredible combos like never before.

The remaster will also feature all the original levels from the first two games in the franchise, from the Warehouse to The Bullring, as well as many of the songs from the original games to amp you up while you go for that Sick Score. Those levels can be played solo with goals old and new, with a buddy for local co-op, or online with original multiplayer game modes.

All of this will be presented in stunning 4K resolution* with updated and enhanced graphics, running at a frame rate crisper than a perfect 50-50 grind: 60 FPS.

Create-A-Skater and Create-A-Park Return, Revamped

Rather carve up your own park with a skater you created? Create-A-Skater and Create-A-Park are back with some dope features added in.

After the reveal, the official @tonyhawkthegame Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram all went live to once again show off some sweet images from the game, not least of which was the epic game trailer. If you somehow missed this, be sure to check it out here:

Tony’s Got New Friends – Eight New Skaters Added to Star-Studded Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Roster

You already know the legends of the Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 1 and 2 roster – from Elissa Steamer to the Birdman himself, these extreme athletes defined an era of skateboarding.

With the launch of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, Vicarious Visions are now bringing the past, present, and future of skateboarding together with eight additional skaters joining the lineup of OGs in this epic remaster.

These eight skaters – Lizzie Armanto, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Riley Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Tyshawn Jones, Aori Nishimura, and Shane O’Neill – represent the star examples of the still-growing skateboarding community today and will skate alongside the legendary roster from 1999 and 2000 in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2.

Just like the original pros, these new skaters are here with their own style, stats, and their own signature tricks to represent their strengths and accomplishments they have earned so far in their young careers.

Here’s a quick background on each of these eight newcomers:

You can learn more about these new skaters on the official @TonyHawktheGame Instagram, the landing account for short bios and behind the scenes looks at skaters both old and new.

Return to the Warehouse

Are you more than set to shred and digitally pre-ordered the game ahead of its September 4 release? Then get ready for the Warehouse.

As the first ever level in THPS history, the Warehouse is as memorable to fans of the franchise almost as much as the Birdman himself, and what better way to celebrate its prestige – and return to glory – through the aptly named Warehouse Demo?

As for your skater, who could be better than Tony Hawk? Yes, you could be skating as Tony Hawk in the Warehouse on August 14…  Just be sure to catch as much air as possible before trying to pull off The 900!

Prepare to Shred to New Music in Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 1 + 2

Don’t Just Read – Listen and Watch THPS History in the Making

Rather than just tell you what new songs were going to be in the game, some of the artists were part of a must-watch reveal of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 soundtrack, courtesy of a concert presented by Noisey.

Together – within a virtual concert environment– Machine Gun Kelly dropped a taste of his latest pop punk project, Rough Francis punched in their punk hits, and Merkules and CHAII brought the heat with their bars that represent the ever-growing hip hop scene.

The Birdman himself is also keen to add to the quintessential skater soundtrack he championed since the first game: “Music has always been such a core element of THPS so I’m excited about the new music being added to the soundtrack of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2. It was fun to be a part of the creative process and be able to include a few of my favorites in the soundtrack along with the other new songs that I believe will resonate with the new generation like the original soundtracks did.”

And if you think this concert was just a soundtrack reveal on top of some killer sets, then you may be in for some awesome surprises, especially if you are amped for THPS skaters both new and returning.

Solo Tours, New Decks and Create-a-Skater Crash Swag Highlight Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 1 and 2 November Update Dropping Tomorrow, November 6

Challenge and Tuning Updates

On top of all this new content, Vicarious Visions added in over 100 new Challenges across 10 new Challenge Sets. Expect to find new objectives around the new Solo Tour mode, Multiplayer, Classic Park Challenges that involve hitting new high scores, Create-a-Park Combo Challenges, and Combo Practice Challenges, a set of challenges designed for skaters to practice combos and critical skating skills needed to shred in Tours or Multiplayer.

Those Challenges come with plenty of XP and Cash, which Vicarious Visions tuned on an overall level that should help you reach Level 100! All skaters will find themselves a bit less strapped for Cash to spend at the Skate Shop, while skilled skaters will earn XP at a higher rate in line with their epic abilities!

The other major tuning pass applies to Multiplayer playlists; both Jams and Competitive will better randomize Parks and Scores, adding a bit more variety for your next online session.

With all these new additions and updates to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, there’s no better time to drop back in.

If you haven’t already grabbed a copy, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 can still be purchased through the game’s official website, with the regular edition available for $39.99 (MSRP) and a digital deluxe version, which includes unique content and in-game gear, available for $49.99 (MSRP).

What is The Skatepark Project?

Across all fifty states, at-risk youth lack access to skateparks—safe and inclusive public spaces for those wanting to pursue the creative physical sport of skateboarding.

Two decades ago, The Skatepark Project, formerly known as the Tony Hawk Foundation, was created to help solve this problem.

Since its creation, The Skatepark Project awarded more than $10 million to over 600 skateparks, which host six-million visits annually from a diverse group of skaters. Through funds provided by The Skatepark Project, these young community members and city leaders work together to build legal skating spaces, in turn encouraging these developing creative minds to stay involved with their municipalities through civic engagement.
