The Rise of Shadow Company in Modern Warfare®

Operators of the Shadow Company

Highly skilled with a diverse range of expertise the Shadow Company consists of Rozlin “Roze” Helms (formerly Jackals), Velikan,  and Marcus “Lerch” Ortega, the Company’s leader.

Lerch hails from Plano, Texas and is a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps. Known on the battlefield for his enthusiasm and success in regards to eliminating the enemy, it was better to have Lerch with you rather than against you. Following USMC, civilian life didn’t suit Lerch, so he re-entered the fight in the private sector and is considered a one-man force multiplier. When the Shadow Company CEO came across Lerch’s dossier, he was the perfect combination of skill and moral flexibility. There’s no contract Lerch won’t take on nor challenge he won’t face which is how he finds himself in Verdansk leading the other Operators of Shadow Company.

Not much is known about Velikan. Dressed in full body armor for protection in battle and to hide his identity, little is confirmed about this Operator. A shadow of a shadow. Tales of his exploits are written off as fairytales at best and gross exaggerations at worst. Those who know him never speak ill of him. Whether it’s due to fear or respect, no one knows.

Rozlin “Roze” Helms joined the Shadow Company after migrating from the Allegiance faction Jackals. Previously, Roze cut ties with the Armed Services and returned to support her family and ailing father. Periodically in contact with Mace, now a PMC who left the Army after abandoning his post in protest of combat orders he deemed illegal, Roze gained entry into the Jackals mercenary group. Now Roze is letting her skill prove her worth as she provides support to Shadow Company while remaining on cordial terms with Mace.

Welcoming in Season Five, Shadow Company and Multiplayer Tips

I ironically named it Benevolence. It has the Bloodlust blueprint as its base, and keeps its pre-configured Heavy Barrel and No Stock attachments.

Then, if you have the The Uprising blueprint from the Season Two ‘Insurgence Store’ bundle you can attach, then customize, the Snatch Grip and Tac Laser to get a contrasting, yet sleek, look. Finally, the added Monolithic Suppressor takes on its appearance from the Forester blueprint, found in ‘The Gardener’ Store bundle released during Season One.

In terms of stats, the barrel and muzzle significantly extend the weapon’s highest damage output range, with the barrel also helping with recoil control. The Snatch Grip and Tac Laser also help with recoil control and increase aim down sight (ADS) speed, and No Stock allows for both faster movement and ADS speeds.

Configured as such, this LMG has an emphasis on fantastic damage range, and is built for overall balance, if you can deal with its high recoil potential – despite three attachments helping it – and its iron sights.

If you need to better control its recoil, mounting on a piece of cover will help significantly. However, once you learn its high and side-to-side recoil pattern, you might just be able to master this weapon like I have.

Eliminate Your Enemies with the Elite Shadow Company Operator

Shadow of a Shadow

Full Name: [REDACTED]

First Language: [REDACTED]

Citizenship: [REDACTED]

Faction: Allegiance

Group: Shadow Company

The Shadow Company is playing this one close to the chest. Where facts are sparse, the myth surrounding Velikan’s origins only grows over time. Tales of his exploits are written off as fairytales at best and gross exaggeration at worst.

Decked out in armor from head to toe, there are few who can guess at Velikan’s true identity. Those who know him never speak ill of him. The mysterious Operator has joined the ranks of the Shadow Company alongside Marcus ‘Lerch’ Ortega, the former Marine turned Shadow Company leader, and former Army Ranger Rozlin ‘Roze’ Helms.

As Verdank descends further into chaos, the Shadow Company brings an element of mystery to their tactics as they take the fight directly to the enemy. With Velikan on their side, they’ve got a fighting chance to turn the tides.

Armed and Ready to Fight

To assist in his clandestine operations, Velikan’s bundle comes stacked with ten items including his ‘Megalith’ skin, the ‘Take a Bow’ Finishing Move, the ‘Masked Out’ weapon charm, and more. The bundle also features two Legendary blueprints: the Trencher and the Excavator.

Shadow Siege Limited-Time Modern Warfare III Reveal Event – Details and Rewards

At the beginning of the Shadow Siege event, up to 32 Operators will receive a briefing from Commander Phillip Graves. Listen up; Graves only has time to detail key intel and mission objectives once, and this information is critical to the mission’s success.

It’s your loss if you decide to tune out the Shadow Company CEO.

NOTE: Due to the severity of this mission, we recommended squading up in Quads. Be sure to bring three allies to the fight with you or use Squad Fill to complete your Quad.

For those requiring step-by-step clarity, Shadow Siege is as follows:

First, everyone is on the same team for this Operation; all Operators will battle against Konni Group AI Combatants. Shadow Company provides a Durable Gas Mask and a Self-Revive Kit to go alongside your Custom Loadout.

Furthermore, respawns are enabled. However, if you go down, it’s best to get revived by a squadmate, as that’s a faster way to get back into the fight rather than having to parachute back in.

Phase I: Secure One of Eight Missile Launchers

After dropping out of the infiltration plane, Operators must secure one of eight missile silos around Al Mazrah with their squad. These silos can be located on your in-game Tac Map and via missile icons in the overworld.

Once all missile silos are secured, the Zaya Observatory is bombarded with missiles, changing Al Mazrah forever.

This is also when Phase II of the Operation begins.

Phase II: Collect Gas Canisters

After the target — an underground weapons facility for manufacturing chemical weaponry — is revealed underneath the Zaya Observatory, all Operators must collect 45 gas canisters combined across all squads.

The second you collect a gas canister, your perspective will shift from first to third person until the canister is deposited at a helicopter transport vehicle outside the facility. Once you have a canister, the helicopter transport is clearly marked on your Tac Map, as well as within the overworld, with an icon of said vehicle.

Because the arsenal contains chemical weapons, every Operator has a Durable Gas Mask for safety. The Tac Map shows the area (in yellow) where there is too much chemical radiation for an Operator to handle without a Gas Mask, just like a Circle Collapse in other modes.

Be prepared to frequently replace Gas Masks while inside the facility; open Supply Boxes, grab them off dead enemy agents, or look to the exfil chopper to find more Gas Masks — this is vital to your Operator’s health.

Expect some hard-hitting enemies to be stationed in, around, and above the Observatory complex as you battle your way to the chemical weapons arsenal and attempt to extract those gas canisters.

Along the way, Operators may face Commanders in the air (attack helicopters) and on the ground (Wheelsons and Juggernauts). These are highly dangerous enemies compared to the regular Konni Group, but it’s vital to engage them if you’re intent on earning the new M13C Base Weapon reward.

While moving through the underground facility, Konni agents may drop their phones. Keep your head on a swivel to intercept enemy communications… And maybe figure out why they are here defending this lab underneath Al Mazrah.

Phase III: Exfil

The second that 45th canister is collected, all Operators must find the exfil location (the icon is the same as the Exfil Chopper icon in DMZ) to leave Al Mazrah immediately. At this time, the gas (a green circle on the Tac Map) will explode outwards from the facility.

It is possible to get left behind if you don’t reach the Exfil Chopper before it leaves — keep that in mind when trying to complete all reward objectives for Shadow Siege.

Whether you reach the Exfil Chopper or not, the ultimate threat is revealed… In participating with Shadow Siege, you become the first to learn Konni’s true agenda, as well as see the Worldwide Reveal Trailer for Modern Warfare III.
