A Guide to Season Three Trials in Modern Warfare® PT 1

Season Three remixed some classic Trials from previous seasons to create the most interesting, and potentially most difficult, collection of challenges yet for those who want to trade in their Trial tickets for a shot at a boatload of XP. One Trial ticket will allow you three tries at the best time in each Trial, with a three-star ranking giving you 10,000 XP.

Don’t forget that a three-star ranking could reward a whopping 22,000 XP with both the 10% Battle Pass XP and Double XP activated. If you know your way around these Trials, you can earn that XP in only a few minutes of your time.

Gun Course

Make your way through the course as fast as possible while clearing all enemy targets and avoiding civilian casualties.

*** = :40

** = 1:00

* = 1:30

Season Three’s Gun Course takes place on Vacant, which we broke down in-depth here. There are two versions of this Trial: one with smoke throughout the complex, and one without.

We highly recommend playing the smokeless version first, as there are no differences between the two outside of the smoke, which makes it more difficult to identify targets.

You have the following weapons at your disposal:

·      Handgun (Starting) – A great secondary, recommended weapon.

·      Shotgun – Double-barrel bullpup. Not recommended.

·      SMG – 10mm rounds and high mobility. Recommended weapon.

·      Assault Rifles – Three in total. Pick your poison, all are solid. Recommended weapon.

·      LMG – A high damage, but slower fire rate comparative to assault rifle; not recommended.

If you choose an assault rifle or SMG, consider changing the firing method to semi-auto to conserve ammo and place accurate shots on those one-hit targets.

Above is Vacant’s layout, with five numbers corresponding to the five areas you’ll travel through.

1: Six targets, two civilians. Hit multiple moving targets at once to increase your accuracy past 100%. The last of the six targets pops up before the double doors.

2: 11 targets, two civilians. Thoroughly check this room for hostiles.

3. Three targets, one moving civilian. Avoid the civilian.

4: Seven targets, two civilians. Check Offices and Atrium for hostiles and look up through the skylight to find one of the targets.

5: Seven targets, two civilians. Clean up and sprint for the finish!

In total, there are 34 targets. Getting 100% accuracy shaves five seconds off your time, so speed and precision is key to a three-star ranking.

Marksman Challenge

Engage waves of long-distance targets and beat the clock. Missed shots burn time.

*** = 4,250 Points

** = 4,000 Points

* = 3,500 Points

This Trial has two versions: One with Sniper Rifle Alpha (the semi-auto sniper rifle) and one with Handgun Echo (the hand cannon). Both take place on Euphrates Bridge against 37 total targets, some of which have flashlights to mimic sniper glints.

Remember, hitting targets only account for 3,700 points, the rest is up to seconds remaining at the end of each wave and each wave gets progressively harder.

Also, only in the sniper rifle version, civilian targets will appear, and shooting one will subtract 100 points from your score. Hitting just one of these means you must save an additional 10 seconds across the four waves in order to make up the point differential, which hinders your ability to get three stars.

In order to get that three-star ranking, you not only have to avoid the distraction of sniper glints, but also track down moving targets. Save time and hit targets when they line up for multiple collateral hits.

Ultimately, practice makes perfect; learning where the targets are across all the waves will be key to getting a three-star ranking. Once you gain this knowledge, that 10,000 XP reward is all but yours.

These are our tips for the two of the latest Trials available in Season Three. Stay tuned for Part 2 and good luck getting that three-star ranking reward.

A Guide to Season Three Trials in Modern Warfare® PT 2

In our first deep dive into Season Three’s Trials, we covered the Gun Course and Marksman Challenge.

Looking for even more XP rewards? Get our tips and tricks on Shooting Range and Risky Parkour to help max out this Season’s Officer Ranks.

Shooting Range

Locate and shoot all targets in the area as quickly as possible while conserving ammunition.

*** = 0:30

** = 0:45

* = 1:00

Season Three’s two locales for the Shooting Range Trial are Docks and Stack.

These two Shooting Ranges have different target locations and weapon choice, so  the way an Operator should tackle these is wildly different; let’s begin with Docks:

Above show the number of targets in each area – 40 total –  that are found across Docks. Note that there are three targets on top of the bridge, and six under it.

Despite the three targets atop the bridge, consider staying on the ground level. There are no targets deep inside the buildings, and an Operator can easily walk from the starting location to the east and hit every target on the way.

Here’s your arsenal, as well as our recommended picks:

·      Sidearms – Two in total. One has a 13-round mag, which is our recommended secondary weapon.

·      Assault Rifles – Five solid choices. Recommend switching weapon to single fire mode to prevent overshooting.

·      LMG – A slower fire rate compared to assault rifles; not recommended.

On Stack, consider “stacking” (hitting multiple at once) targets with the help of wide-barreled shotguns. Whenever possible, aim down sights and position yourself in front of multiple targets. If you do it right, you can blow away two, three, or even four targets at once.

Your accuracy bonus here can be remarkable – potentially at 200% – which will let you shave serious seconds off your final time.  In other words, with enough practice, you can easily crush the 30 second clear time for a 10,000 XP bonus and then some.

Risky Parkour

Move through each checkpoint and finish the course as quickly as possible. (Destroy mines blocking your path and) Beware of the heavy toxic gas on the low ground.

Risky Parkour is back and riskier than ever thanks to Proximity Mines.

Mines are only present in two of the Risky Parkour variants: Gun Runner and Piccadilly. The other variant of this Trial, Hackney Yard, has you using a Riot Shield against active enemy Operators.

Hackney Yard

*** = 1:00

** = 1:15

* = 1:30

In theory, this is a super-quick route through the Warehouse of Hackney Yard. However, those four numbered points have active hostiles.

You can either move when they reload and bash them with the Riot Shield, or use your two Throwing Knives on hand to deal with them from a distance. Be warned: you only get two of them, and if they miss the mark, you may have a hard time getting them back.

The beginning section could trip some players up, as you’ll be walking along the walls for a bit. Tread carefully with your Riot Shield, then, if you can, chuck a Throwing Knife at the first enemy.

The rest of the course is straightforward and forgiving. Just take down those tangos and sprint to the finish.

Gun Runner

*** = 0:54

** = 1:02

* = 1:11

Gun Runner is the first of the two mine-filled Risky Parkour courses and could be described as the easier of the two.

Note that the red X’s indicate where mines are. You must shoot them before your approach, otherwise, they will pop up and explode, killing you if you are standing up, and badly damaging you if you are crouching.

At start, shoot the first mine before leaving the truck at spawn. This will save you a little bit of time. After hopping into the building, you’ll crawl across the catwalk, shoot another mine, and pop out onto the roof.

When hopping across the trains, try landing on the corners of the red coal cars, as their checkpoints are generous enough to allow you to hit them and jump to the next one. Remember to destroy the mines before jumping, throughout, and avoid touching the ground at all costs.

Piccadilly

*** = 0:45

** = 0:50

* = 1:00

Arguably the hardest of the three parkour courses, Piccadilly will take you across very narrow platforms.

From the start, you should shoot the first two mines: one is directly in front of you, the other is on a police vehicle to the right.

The homestretch could be described as a gauntlet, with two mines and a few precise jumps across vehicles and crates. Try sweeping the mines first before jumping, and if possible, run as far ahead of the clear time as possible through the first through sections before going through this trickier finish.

Above all else, be careful when making jumps around the map, especially on the central buses. It’s easy to miss platforms or slip down onto the street, where the gas will deal damage and give you a time penalty.

With these tips, we hope you earn three-star rankings and reap the rewards.

Feel free to share your best times with the community and stay tuned for more Trials guides in the future.

Tips for Completing the Hardest Season Three Officer Challenges

Operation: Rank Up Report #0030

Day 210 – 10:24:48 PST

Somewhere in Verdansk

AGB – Lead Writer

The sun is setting on Season Three, which means time is running out to complete all 100 Officer Challenges before you miss out on exclusive emblems and bragging rights.

No time to waste – let’s get to Ranking Up:

Operators of the Week

This week, I featured Bale in his Epic Protectorate skin, found in the Security Detail Store bundle. He looks like he’s ready to successfully protect a few Spetsnaz officers, especially with that War Saw assault rifle blueprint included in the bundle (and what both my Operators are holding).

As for my Coalition Operator, I chose Alex in his ‘Back for More’ skin, his final unlockable skin in Season Three achieved by reaching Tier 100 in the Battle Pass and completing his second batch of Operator Missions.

Once again, I reached full completion of Season Three, both in the Battle Pass and my Officer Challenges, which brings us to this week’s Top Rank Up Tip:

Top Rank Up Tip

100 Officer Challenge Ribbons is always a beautiful sight at the end of a Season.

Want to follow me in getting a full ribbon page for Season Three? As per Rank Up Report tradition, here’s the advice I have for completing 10 Ribbons that may be giving you trouble out of the last 50. For this edition, we’re going to do a lot of “stacking,” as I will be bundling a few challenges together in this guide to show you how to efficiently clear multiple challenges at once.

Let’s begin at Rank 110:

Challenge: Sniper Kills Headshots – Get 7 Headshots with Sniper Rifles or Marksman Rifles. – Rank 110 (6,000 XP)

Remember: Marksman rifles kill with a single headshot, with all but the SKS having that feature at any range. High magnification optics are recommended for precise shots.

Challenge: High Five – Get 200 kills with a Weapon with 5 attachments – Rank 112, (9,000 XP)

All kills with Legendary weapon blueprints, such as the Prototype Alpha found in the Purple Tracer Pack, counts for this challenge. You can complete this challenge in Multiplayer and Warzone, giving you extra incentive for some Legendary looting.

Challenge x3:

Longshot Headshots – Get 3 Headshot kills that are Longshots – Rank 116 (6,000 XP)

Long Shot – Get 15 Longshot kills – Rank 118 (9,000 XP)

Far Sighted – Get 5 Longshot Kills while surviving with low health. – Rank 120 (1,500 XP)

When time is not on your side, stacking Challenges can help you get to that Season Three complete ribbon sheet faster.

These three challenges, all grouped up within a few ranks, are a great example of that.

How do you stack them? Simple:

Get 15 Longshot Kills, with three also being headshots, and five while at low health, for a grand total of 16,500 XP and three ribbons.

This challenge is easier to complete in Ground War or Warzone, since engagements can go well past the distance needed for longshots. The Variable Zoom Scope on any weapon is your friend here, although you might want to try getting longshots with handguns or SMGs, since their longshot range is shorter.

What may be the most difficult task is getting longshots at low health, but it could be remedied by either damaging yourself, or taking a few limb shots before hitting that longshot.

Challenge: Juggernaut – Call in a Juggernaut – Rank 124 (6,000 XP)

Hello Juggernaut, my old friend.

I still haven’t forgotten my blunder in Tavorsk District in Season One (which you can read all about here), so let’s cut to the chase:

My advice for getting a Juggernaut, a 15 killstreak (14 with Hardline), is to use Kill Chain or Pointman. Using Kill Chain, you want to get a good streak going by choosing either the Precision Airstrike or Cluster Strike as your first streak and picking the VTOL Jet for your second.  Use the kills from both to feed into your 15 Killstreak. As for Pointman, the point value for the Juggernaut is steep, but with enough enemy Killstreak destruction, objective plays, and kills, it can be earned.

Just remember that, once you drop the Juggernaut package, pick it up, lest you let it fall into enemy (or allied) hands and forfeit your win condition for completing this challenge.

Challenge: Search & Destroy Wins – Win 2 matches of Search and Destroy – Rank 135 (1,500 XP)

To borrow from the CDL professional’s advice kit, becoming a better S&D player is all about “playing your life.”

Remember you only have one life in these modes, so if your team is losing the numbers game during a round, don’t challenge/engage unless you can handle a potential follow-up threat… Or if you can hit your shots.

Also, if the enemy squad has more Operators alive, play the objective (plant/defuse the bomb) and hope it throws off their rhythm.

Challenge x2:

Fury Killer – Get 2 Fury Kills (4 rapid kills) – Rank 129 (1,500 XP)

Doing Work – Earn 7 Triple Kills on enemies near an Objective Flag – Rank 145 (9,000 XP)

It seems like these two challenges are the most difficult on paper, but all it takes is a good game of 10v10 Domination or Ground War to complete this.

Push aggressively near a captured enemy flag – preferably with a weapon with extended mags, vehicle or Killstreak – and lay down as much firepower as possible. Usually in 10v10 and Ground War lobbies, you can find three or more enemies on a flag.

Within those seven Triple Kills, you’ll be able to find one more straggler lying around to net those two Fury Kills. And don’t worry about getting four kills lined up in the killfeed – that’s a Quad Feed – as you only need four kills in rapid succession for a Fury Kill.

Challenge: Bloodthirsty Killer I – Get 5 kills without dying 10 time(s) – Rank 150 (1,500 XP)

Since I’ve been using Specialist with Hardline lately, I can easily track my Bloodthirsty medals and get rewarded as I earn kills. Specialist gives you a fourth, fifth, and sixth perk at two, four, and six kills in a single life (one, three, and five with Hardline).

If I wind up hitting the Specialist Bonus, all the better; then I can go for a Tactical Nuke, earnable at 30 kills, not 25 (like in previous Call of Duty titles).

Speaking of that, let’s talk about the weapon that helped me chase that high-end secret killstreak: the Gunsmith Custom Creation of the Week.

Gunsmith Custom Creation of the Week

This is the weapon that helped me chase greatness, and while I’ve yet to earn it, it’s gotten me close.

Based on the Prototype Omega Blueprint in the Tracer Pack Purple bundle, this weapon shoots purple tracer bullets – remember that tracer rounds are carried over to a Gunsmith Custom creation only if it’s the base weapon.

With this configuration, this SMG’s effective range is close to maxed, yet doesn’t sacrifice any movement speed – in fact, it’s faster than the stock weapon. Although it takes some practice to get used to a slower aim down sight speed and decreased aiming stability, this weapon has found a permanent place in my loadouts when I’m not on my road to Damascus camo.

What goes into creating a weapon that can do all of this? Start by only keeping the weapon’s Stippled Grip Tape for better sprint to fire and ADS speed, then add the FSS Strike Barrel, which will give you a big damage range boost. No blueprint has this attachment yet, but it’s the first barrel attachment to unlock on this weapon’s progression path, making it an easy pick-up.

Next, grab the Bug Spray blueprint (found in the Insecticide bundle released during Season Two), and borrow the Merc Foregrip from it to get better recoil control and hip fire accuracy.

Finally, you’re going to want to take the Mud Dauber’s Monolithic Suppressor to boost that damage range even further, and its No Stock to maximize movement speed and mitigate ADS speed penalties.

Good luck ranking up; I’ll see you online.

Stay frosty.

Command the field of battle with Captain Price, Available in the Season Four Battle Pass

“Have to trust someone to be betrayed. I never did.”  – Captain Price, Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 2

Season Four brings an extremely familiar face to the fray – John Price, a Captain in the British 22nd Special Air Service (SAS) Regiment.

The fighting in Verdansk has continued to rage unabated and additional forces are needed to contain the growing threat to pull the city back from the brink of war. Enter Captain John Price: A target-focused warfighter who deploys a cut-to-the-chase lethality.

Read on for more intel on the Coalition’s Captain Price and learn how to add him to your squadron of elite Operators in Modern Warfare.

Origins of an Operator

Captain John Price is a long-standing member of the British Army who has honed his skillset and proved his worth over countless of covert operations and multiple deployments in the Middle East. At the start of the Modern Warfare Campaign, CIA Station Chief Kate Laswell is tasked with finding a ‘better weapon’ to track down chemical weapons. Instead of a traditional weapon, she makes a call to Captain Price who immediately responds and heads to London.

While Captain Price is an elite seek-and-strike expert and an excellent sniper and saboteur, he’s also known for a second skill: developing and maintaining relationships with top Tier Operators across the globe. It’s that secondary skillset which allows Alex to connect with Farah on the ground in Urzikstan and kick off the events of the Campaign that lead to the eventual death of Barkov and the destruction of his gas factory.

In the aftermath of those events, Laswell still has loose ends that Captain Price is determined to tie up. He gathers dossiers to recruit a specialized task force – Task Force 141 to put a stop to the terrorist threat in Verdansk, the criminal activities of Mr. Z, and shut down any remnants of Al-Qatala left in the region.

Want more background on Captain Price? Read his Campaign Bio here.

Two Tiers of Bravo Six

Get two distinct looks for Captain Price in the Battle Pass at Tier 0, an instant unlock, and Tier 100. Players can complete Operator Missions at both tiers to earn additional skins and other rewards.

As soon as you purchase the Battle Pass, you can immediately start playing with Captain Price in his ‘The Captain’ skin. This skin sees Captain Price sport his signature bucket hat and is similar to the outfit worn during the Campaign mission ‘The Embassy’. Captain the squad when you drop into Verdansk in Warzone or lead the way in Multiplayer.

Progress through the tiers by playing the game and reach Tier 100. A stacked tier that includes a vehicle skin, Legendary weapon blueprint, and new skin and set of Operator Missions for Captain Price. The Tier 100 skin, ‘Nightfall’, will remind players of the Campaign Mission ‘Clean House.’ Don this look to do just that to your enemies and clean up the battlefield of any opposition.

Purchase the Season Four Battle Pass and progress through the tiers to unlock instant access to the newest Operator – Captain Price alongside other Legendary Operator skins, Legendary blueprint weapons, vehicle skins, XP and Weapon XP Tokens, up to 1300 Call of Duty® points, and more. Warzone In-Match Updates

During some Warzone Battle Royale matches, be aware of three new twists that can occur. These have an impact on the strategy and approach to gameplay and can happen in any given match without advance notice. When they happen, they will always occur mid-game. E.g. after the first drop kit and before the Gulag closes. Prepare yourself for: ‘Jailbreak’, ‘Fire Sale’, and ‘Supply Chopper’.

A ‘Fire Sale’ temporarily discounts most of the items at a Buy Station up to 80% or even gives items out completely free. A Fire Sale is the perfect time to pick up a UAV, Armor Box for your squad, or even a lethal Killstreak. During a Fire Sale buying back a fallen teammate is completely free. If you’re short on in-match Cash, a Fire Sale might be the best chance to redeploy a squadmate. Note that even during a Fire Sale, Loadout Drops are not discounted. Fire Sales only last sixty seconds, so expect Buy Stations to be crowded and prepare for a fight.

A ‘Supply Chopper’ brings a non-lethal, but heavily armored helicopter to Verdansk. The helicopter will have a lot of health, and it will require a few rounds of bullets and maybe a rocket or two to bring it down. The helicopter will not shoot at you, but make sure that while you’re distracted enemy teams don’t take advantage. Once you destroy the Supply Chopper, it will drop high quality items for players to pick up. This includes three UAVS, two armor boxes and munitions boxes, a gas mask, a grenade launcher, and tons of Cash at a minimum. Supply Choppers leave after a certain period of time, so if you want to take one out start firing right away. Remember, that after taking down a Supply Chopper, you have to collect the spoils. Watch out for enemy teams who might try to take you out during the collection or steal your hard-earned rewards.

When a ‘Jailbreak’ occurs, all players that have been eliminated will be released back into the match. Whether you were waiting for your 1v1 in the Gulag, or had been relegated to a spectator, now you’ll have another chance. You will get a one-minute notice before a Jailbreak happens to find additional armor or secure a weapon for your returning teammates. Jailbreaks can occur any time during the middle game of a Battle Royale match, so it may be worth it to spectate, just in case. Be mindful that when a Jailbreak occurs, it’s not just your teammates that are coming back, but tons of additional enemies.

*Note that these will only occur during some matches. A Jailbreak, Fire Sale, or Supply Chopper will not always occur during a Battle Royale match.

Modes, Weapon Changes, and More Updates to Warzone

Three Limited Time Warzone Modes will debut during the Season:

In Juggernaut Royale, a Battle Royale mode variant, the massive Multiplayer Killstreak drops into Verdansk – three airdropped care packages, specifically, hold the Juggernaut suit. Head to one of the marked locations to capture and don the Juggernaut suit. Once you have it on, you’ll have higher health, a mini-gun, and a sweet music track to accompany you during the Warzone match. You’ll still be able to ride in vehicles and climb ladders, and your zero-fall damage will be accompanied by a ground pound of damage that impacts anyone in the immediate area. If any of the Juggernauts are sent to the Gulag, after a brief delay period, a new Juggernaut care package will be marked on the Tac-Map and deploy into Verdansk.

Realism in Warzone follows the same rules as the Multiplayer mode. You’ll have a minimal HUD and deal increased headshot damage. Make sure you make the most of it, but fire with precision.

Expand your squad in an intensive large team battle in Warzone Rumble. Battle in Verdansk in a 50v50 Team Deathmatch face-off. Choose your loadout before you enter a match and work with your squad to secure victory.

Players will discover a change in weapons as new blueprints make their way to Warzone in varying frequency, allowing you to switch up your approach to battle. Learn the strengths of these weapons to be at your best in Verdansk and consider gravitating toward loadouts that fit your playstyle while you get a better feel of the latest blueprints.

Plus, free-to-play Warzone users can experience another Multiplayer Free Access Weekend on June 12 at 10 AM PT to June 15 at 10AM PT. It will include the latest 6v6 Multiplayer Maps Zhokov Scrapyard and Hardhat, as well as a few other fan-favorites. In addition, there will also be a Gunfight playlist during the Free Access Weekend featuring seven maps primed for fun, tactical and tension-filled engagements.

Modern Warfare Content: New Free Maps, Modes, and More

Free Multiplayer Maps for Every Playstyle

This season a trio of new maps arrive at Season Four launch, free for owners of the full version of Modern Warfare. Each new map is crafted for a distinct mode of play – Multiplayer, Ground War, and Gunfight.

Zhokov Scrapyard – Standard Multiplayer (Launch)

Scrapyard, from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, makes its debut this season, and the small, fun, and frenetic map is just as veterans remember. Watch your six in this resting place for abandoned airplane parts as close quarters combat and even snipers can find success here. Consider equipping your weapon of choice with FMJ to fire at targets through the strewn about airplane hulls and stay on the move as this map is bound to get busy.

Barakett Promenade – Ground War (Launch)

Warzone players will be in familiar territory in Barakett Promenade, the latest Ground War map, available at Season Four launch. No need to worry about listening for the soft hum of chests but stay alert for the sounds of multiple enemies on the map. Take advantage of building rooftops to add some verticality into your playstyle or come ready for close quarters combat and do a clean sweep of the interiors. However, you choose to play, be prepared for the heavy arsenal that typically comes with a Ground War battle.

Trench – Gunfight (Launch)

As the name suggests, this Gunfight map is a network of interconnected trenches. Although players can exit the trench to move quicker throughout the map, you’ll expose your position to the enemy, so consider your options. Fast reflexes will serve you well with any weapon and be wary of the glint should you face off with marksman or sniper rifles.

Additional Free Content: Multiplayer Modes and Missions

Three new modes including a classic, are scheduled to arrive during the Season alongside other Multiplayer playlist, moshpits and updates:

In Team Defender, a single player must hold the flag while their teammates defend them. Use communication, intel, and powerful Killstreaks to counter the opposition.

One in the Chamber, a classic Free-For-All party game, starts players off with weapon and a single bullet. It only takes one shot to down an enemy, but make sure it’s on target or you’ll run out of ammo. Earn additional bullets by getting kills or with a melee attack. You’ve got three lives, so make ‘em count.

Take out your opponents in All or Nothing. In this Free-For-All mode, players have limited armaments: only a handgun and a Throwing Knife. Aim with precision and get the most kills to claim victory.

More Missions and Challenges for Multiplayer and Warzone can be found in the Challenges tab to help you progress through the Season’s Ranks. As you do, check the Rank Progression section to find all of this Season’s ribbons, challenges that unlock with each Officer Rank. Max out your Officer Ranks to earn this Season’s weapon blueprint.

Battle Pass System (Modern Warfare including Warzone) Content

Two Weapons and More Free Content in the Season Four Battle Pass System

The Season Four Battle Pass system features two new weapons – the Fennec SMG (Tier 15) and the CR-56 AMAX assault rifle (Tier 31) that all players in Modern Warfare including Warzone can earn free.

In addition, all players can also earn a Legendary assault rifle blueprint the ‘Blank Stare’, a Legendary watch, an SUV vehicle skin, a Legendary sniper blueprint the ‘Brookside’ for those long Warzone engagements, a Legendary handgun the ‘Gavel’, 300 Call of Duty points, and more. Get these items and more across 20 Tiers of free content, available to be earned in the Battle Pass system just by playing.

The Fennec is a fast-firing SMG with solid accuracy and excellent control. Ideal for close to medium ranged engagements, players can extend the range with the ZLR 18” Deadfall or the ZLR 16” Apex barrel attachments. Let the Fennec shine on closer quarters maps like Rust and Shoot House and progress through the Battle Pass system to unlock a Legendary blueprint in its family at Tier 85.

The CR-56 AMAX assault rifle is extremely well-balanced with extra heat in the damage category to swiftly put down opponents. With great range and fire rate out of the box, players can kit out this weapon to increase its mobility, handling, and control to fit their playstyle. A Legendary blueprint in its family is available at Tier 100 alongside a vehicle skin, a Legendary skin for Captain Price, and Operator Missions to unlock more skins for Captain Price.

Level up both of these new weapons to find the best custom configurations for engagements in Multiplayer or Warzone in Gunsmith.

Season Four Reloaded

Business is about to pick up in Verdansk.

Season Four of Modern Warfare, including Warzone, will receive an update at 11 p.m. PDT on June 29 that will fundamentally change the battle in Verdansk.

Captain Price needs you all this week – especially as the Armistice alliance is all but broken with infighting between Allegiance and Coalition forces threatening to cause chaos across Verdansk – so here is your emergency briefing:

200-Player Warzone

With this update, Verdansk will now be able to hold up to 200 players in Battle Royale Quads. That means 50 Quads of Operators fighting each other and the encroaching circle collapse.

This new player count makes Warzone an even bigger Battle Royale experience, so get ready to drop in alongside 199 other members of this millions-strong community to cause havoc!

Download Instructions

Please note that the Season Four Reloaded update will have a download size of approximately 22-36 GB for owners of the full version of Modern Warfare. Console owners must install a secondary download of approximately 3.5GB, then reboot the game to access Multiplayer, if desired. A reminder, console players can choose also to uninstall/remove other data packs (e.g. Special Operations), if no longer needed for a smaller overall file size. For detailed information on uninstalling/removing other data packs, read this article.

Once the Season Four Reloaded update is fully completed, it should minimally increase the overall digital footprint of the full version of Modern Warfare.

Existing free-to-play Warzone players will have a download size of approximately 22GB-30GB, once finished there will be a reduction to the overall footprint on their machines.

In-Match Contract, Modes, and Spotter Scope

That’s not the only new intel we have on Verdansk:

While travelling and fighting your way through the Warzone, be on the lookout for Supply Run Contracts. Upon activation, you and your squad (if applicable) will be directed to a nearby Buy Station. Reach it within the time limit to get a discount on Buy Station purchases.

Our recommendation? Two feet can only get you to a Buy Station fast enough, so consider alternate modes of transportation.

Ready up with a Juggernaut Suit in the Juggernaut Royale mode. Find one of the airdropped care packages to become the Juggernaut and use the mini-gun to attack enemies and vehicles. Once a Juggernaut is sent to the Gulag, a new Juggernaut care package will drop on the map, so do your best to capture the suit and take on any squad that stands in your way.

There’s a new piece of gear around Verdansk: the Spotter Scope.

Think of this as a high-powered scope without the glint; this re-usable scope allows you to scan the environment around you and mark enemies without being detected. Perfect for scouting ahead, the Spotter Scope is a great tool for Operators who want to plan their next move while keeping a low profile.

Warzone Starter Pack

Just joined the fight? All Warzone players can pick up the Warzone Starter Pack to get a jump-start off the Cargo Plane into Verdansk.

For only $4.99 USD SRP (or regional equivalent), get a major boost to your loadouts, Operator collection, and XP earn rate with this pack that includes the following:

500 COD Points AND…

Legendary Shotgun Blueprint – Amalgam

This Legendary Shotgun Echo Blueprint can punish players who dare to challenge you in CQB scenarios.

Epic Krueger Skin – Alchemist

This skin outfits Krueger for Verdansk’s most hazardous conditions.

Epic Calling Card – Breathing Easy // Epic Emblem – Vulture Culture

Give your profile some flair with these personalization items.

1 Hour Double Battle Pass XP // 1 Hour Double Weapon XP

These two tokens give an hour of double Battle Pass Tier earn rate, and double XP towards weapon levels respectively.

A Powerful Sniper Rifle for your Arsenal

Snipers, meet the Rytec AMR.

This .50 caliber-chambered beast joins the three other weapons in the sniper rifle category and is yours to unlock via in-game challenge. A blueprint variant is also available to get through the Store via the ‘Lost Souls’ bundle.

Whether you need to lock down an objective in Multiplayer, lay waste to AQ in Co-Op, or take that cross-Verdansk shot in Warzone, the Rytec AMR is one of the deadliest semi-automatic anti-material rifles an Operator can get their hands on. Use the included picatinny rail to Gunsmith it out to the situation at hand and get back in the fight as your squad’s reliable sharpshooter.

New Multiplayer Map: Cheshire Park

Those who have the full Modern Warfare experience have a new locale to deploy to: Cheshire Park.

Located in urban London, England, Cheshire Park is a picturesque garden and conservatory where Operators will battle from door to door or through the central flora-filled area.

Take to the townhomes for long sightlines, the stores to capture objectives through intense CQB battles, or take to the side streets to take some shortcuts. If you dare, try to challenge those who may set up shop in second story windows, phone booths, front yards, or scaffolding.

New Multiplayer Mode: Team Defender

Introduced nearly a decade ago, Team Defender returns to Modern Warfare as a fast-paced objective game mode that puts a twist on the traditional Capture the Flag formula.

Instead of both teams defending their respective flags, there is only one flag for a squad member to capture and hold onto. A squad earns a point for every second that one of their members holds onto this flag, which means defending the carrier is a must for victory.

Other than needing the flag to earn points, attackers will want to down the carrier for points, which will lead to games where both squads will frantically attempt to wrest control of the flag until the very last second in this pulse-pounding Multiplayer experience.

More in Store

A fresh shipment of new bundles reached the Store to go along with this update, including a new Operator – Roze – who highlights this new collection of content.

Outside of a new reinforcement for the Allegiance, new bundles to be introduced after this update include the ‘Rogue Operative’ bundle, featuring one of the Allegiance’s resident badasses and a Legendary Assault Rifle Juliet blueprint, and the ‘Golden Idol’ bundle, which decks Zane, and the associated blueprint and more, in gold-trimmed everything.

If you want to learn more about this update, read the latest Patch Notes on Infinity Ward’s official developer blog.
