Earn More Rewards in The Forge with Call of Duty®: Mobile Seasonal Missions

Frenzy Killer

This eight-step seasonal challenge is focused on eliminating enemies with various weapons and often with specific attachments or other requirements. The key items here are a base and rare version of the KRM-262 shotgun, the HG40 – Arctic Digital, and the Wild Man calling card.

Perk Prodigy

A six-step challenge, this one is all about perks. Equip the various perks in your loadout before entering match and see if you can complete this one in tandem with Frenzy Killer. You’ll be rewarded with a new perk, Quick Fix, the Terrance Brooks – Digital Hide soldier, and more.

Finisher

A quick four-part challenge, that primarily focuses on finishing atop the leaderboards in Multiplayer and Battle Royale. One of the challenges requires you to play as the Outrider-Arctic soldier, which you can earn by linking your Call of Duty accounts. Need help linking? Read this. The main rewards for finishing the Finisher: the XPR-50 – Arctic Digital and the calling card – embers.

Visit the Seasonal tab often to check your mission status and view the missions available for the Season. Also, most seasonal missions mix in rewards of credits and Battle Pass XP in addition to marquee rewards. If you’re looking for ways to help you progress through The Forge Battle Pass, completing seasonal missions might just be the boost you are looking for.

5 Tips for Becoming a Mission Expert

1. When starting out, review all of the mission steps and knock out the ones that cater to your natural playstyle. You’ll earn fast rewards and get on a roll toward the more difficult steps to come.

2. After checking your seasonal missions, check Featured and Daily events, too. Tackle multiple challenges at once, such as using an assault rifle to get kills in Multiplayer, thus working on a Daily event and seasonal mission challenge at the same time.

3. Reach Tier 21 in The Forge Battle Pass to unlock the free DR-H assault rifle. This new functional weapon is a large caliber, fully automatic assault rifle that provides high damage over long ranges. It is also required to complete the second step on the Maximum Efficiency seasonal mission.

4. Stuck on a mission step? Take a break and move on to a different challenge, and then come back to the hard step refreshed and prepared. Or better yet, invite a friend and complete the hard mission steps together.

5. Complete them all! Each mission tests a different skillset, so that in addition to all the loot you’ll earn you’ll also be a better player for having overcome all of the challenges. And with all that earned Battle Pass XP, you’ll rocket through the Battle Pass tiers.

See you online, soldier.

Getting the Most Out of the Season Four Battle Pass with Operator Missions

My Gunsmith Custom Creation for this week – the Dream Eater– is a good example of how this LMG is being configured for a well-balanced primary weapon. Specifically, this has the base and Barrel of the Synthetic Dreams blueprint, the 60 Round Mags of The Glitch blueprint, (found in the Season Three Encryption Store Bundle), the Merc Foregrip and Stippled Grip Tape from the Phoenix Ignition, and a stock Tac Laser.

This build extends the weapon’s effective range (XRK Summit 26.8” Barrel) and gives it some more recoil control and some hip fire accuracy (Merc Foregrip), while keeping its snappy aim down sight (ADS) speed from the rest of the attachments.

Other attachments to consider are the Monolithic Suppressor for more range and sound dampening, and an optic – usually a 3.0x zoom scope – for a magnified and more precise sight picture.

In general? It’s a meta weapon for a reason. Fast-firing assault rifles and LMGs with decent damage profiles at all ranges are jacks of all trades and simple enough to pick up and play with.

However, there are plenty of weapons that can outclass it at any range, just not at everyrange. If you keep your positioning in mind and work with your other teammates to maximize utility, I could list a few weapons that could easily outslay a player that uses a “meta weapon.”

But that is for another Rank Up Report – for now, I’ll see you online.

Stay frosty.

Ten Reasons Why You Should Complete Season Six’s Missions and Challenges

Operation: Rank Up Report #0046

Day 329 – 10:20:31 PST

AGB – Lead Writer

Season Six is here, and with it comes a ton of value through its Battle Pass and Missions. Thanks to another Triple Double XP weekend, these Missions are ready to provide a boatload of XP on top of their existing rewards, which are worthy of an entire Rank Up Report detailing how badass they are.

Let’s get to ranking up… and earning ten Epic and Legendary Operator skins and blueprints along the way.

Operator of the Week

The first featured Operator duo of the season combines elite forces from Multiplayer and a hero from Campaign:

On the left is the Allegiance’s Syd in her Red Menace skin, which is part of the new ‘Undead Forces’ Store bundle.

She’s joined by Farah in her ‘Unbroken Will’ skin, unlocked as part of Season Six Battle Pass’ Tier 0 through her Operator Mission… Which immediately brings us to our Top Rank Up Tip for this season’s opening weekend:

Top Rank Up Tip – Complete Those Season Six Challenges!

Season Six brings a serious amount of value to Modern Warfare® and Warzone™ players not just within the Battle Pass, but also in various free Missions.

I’ve already highlighted how crucial these Missions are in ranking up; completing these challenges will grant you hundreds of thousands of bonus XP, not to mention dozens of items for your Armory, Operators, and Identity. There is no better time to complete these Missions now, as the Triple Double XP weekend doubles the value of all XP earned through these objectives.

However, just to re-emphasize their importance, here’s a quick look at ten Mission rewards I’ve been working towards since the season started, beginning with the obvious…

1. Farah – Unbroken Will

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Campaign Innovation Deep Dive: Open Combat Missions

Stealth

Just like in “Operation 627,” remaining off the radar in Open Combat Missions is often a viable strategy.

In most cases, enemies are unaware of your presence. If you draw attention to yourself, such as firing an unsuppressed weapon or walking right up to them, they can either become suspicious or immediately enter an alert state in order to hunt you down (and those actively firing, or foes you’ve previously tagged show up as red markers in places like the Tac Map).

It’s possible in some (but not all) missions to remain completely off the grid during the mission… But you’d better believe it’s difficult to pull this off, especially on Veteran Difficulty!

Guns a-Blazing

Full-on, all-out assaults are common in Call of Duty’s history, and you can pull them off in Open Combat Missions, too.

High-energy, high enemy count, and highly-explosive, going with a Weapons Free approach may not only be a viable strategy, but necessary to mission success.

With that said, on this Campaign’s hardest difficulty settings – much like in Campaign’s past – be prepared to even the odds when you are outnumbered and outgunned by dozens of enemy soldiers, vehicles, and Sentry Turrets, by employing one, a combination of, or as many of the following methods of mission completion:

Using Your Loadout

Not only do you typically have a Primary and Secondary Weapon, Equipment (Lethals and Tacticals), and on-Operator gear like binoculars or NVGs, but another part of your Loadout – and new to this Campaign – is additional equipment:

Here, just like in Call of Duty: Warzone™, you can stow away loadout items like Field Upgrades, Self-Revive Kits, and Equipment pieces for later use, allowing you to use certain strategies more often like…

Picking up Enemy Ordnance

Rather have the enemy’s gun instead of your own?

Feel free; just like the more familiar Campaign missions, your Open Combat Mission Operator can use all kinds of armaments, including those dropped by enemies.

Scavenging for More

New to Call of Duty Campaign missions, it’s possible to find loose loadout items, item boxes, or even the ability to swap to another loadout mid-mission via special loadout crate.

Some of these resources will be in obvious locations, others – especially those that can lead to some interesting strategies – are a bit harder to uncover.

However, your efforts will be rewarded with additional versatility for completing the objective.
